I have a need to answer the deeper "why", however, and that has led to my particular professional interests. Empowering youth through hands-on experiences, particularly promoting civic engagement and the creation of community among members of different socio-cultural groups. Connecting underserved youth to professions/professionals that they might otherwise perceive as unattainable. The potential of the Internet for reaching a wide audience "In-reach" that makes the museum a community center and resource The use of children's theater for both enjoyment and educational goals More specifically, I thrive on constantly learning new knowledge and developing ways for others to learn and connect to that knowledge. The under-served audience is one I strongly care about, and I believe that the museum is an ideal institution to empower under-served youth and their communities. Similarly, I believe that the Internet has immense potential for both the museum and the audience.
